Main Event is set to debut its first New York venue at Tanger Outlets in Deer Park, with a grand opening planned for early 2026. The entertainment complex will occupy a 46,189-square-foot storefront adjacent to Saks Off 5th and Regal Cinemas, delivering a mix of bowling, laser tag, arcade games, billiards, gravity rope courses, plus food and beverages.
“Main Event will give guests a lively new hub to play, dine, and socialize, reinforcing Tanger Deer Park’s reputation as a premier destination for both shopping and entertainment,” stated Lisa Samperisi, Tanger Deer Park’s marketing manager, in a press release.
In related moves, the Nike store at Deer Park will relocate to a larger unit closer to Polo Ralph Lauren, Ugg, and Karl Lagerfeld, with the release promising a more advanced and digitally enriched shopping experience.
These changes form part of a broader revamp of the 739,000-square-foot shopping center, which recently welcomed Canada Weather Gear and Toys”RUs, per spokesperson Shannon Murphy.
Other new arrivals this year among the center’s more than 100 stores include Birkenstock, Marc Jacobs, and Pandora, Murphy added.
According to CoStar, a commercial real estate data and analytics firm, the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park currently report a 4.4% retail availability rate, higher than Bellport’s 2.2% and Riverhead’s 0.3% rates. The overall Long Island retail market stands at about 5%, indicating solid performance across the region, noted Jared Koeck, CoStar Group’s associate director of market analytics.
There is only one space left at Deer Park—a space exceeding 30,000 square feet that became vacant after New York Sports Club relocated.
