EJ Crowell, a senior at Jackson High School and a signed talent for Alabama, is on a roll. He's not just a football player; he's a champion, and a repeat one at that! Last week, he dominated with an incredible 304-yard, five-touchdown performance, securing his team's second consecutive Class 4A state championship. But here's where it gets controversial... Crowell's not done yet.
On Saturday, he led the Alabama All-Stars to a dominant 40-10 victory over Mississippi in the annual All-Star Classic. Despite a holding call that robbed him of a 51-yard touchdown run, Crowell still managed to rush for 61 yards and a score. It's safe to say he's a game-changer.
"Breaking tackles and winning MVP means everything to me," Crowell shared. "Especially with the talent on the field."
And he wasn't alone in his success. Crowell's future college roommate, CD Morgan, a wide receiver from Benjamin Russell, stole the show with three catches, 34 yards, and a touchdown that left everyone talking. In a 3-0 deficit, Morgan caught an 8-yard touchdown pass, showcasing his ability to dominate even when double-teamed.
"When I get a one-on-one, I feel like the best receiver in the world," Morgan, a 6-foot-4, 220-pound beast, boasted.
But it wasn't just about the stars. Quarterback Brock Bradley, a Clemson signee, and Landon Duckworth, a South Carolina signee, ran the Alabama offense with precision. Bradley even compared Morgan to Dallas Cowboys star George Pickens, praising his natural talent.
"With EJ, I think he could play at Alabama right now," Bradley added.
